About OLLI at UNT Memberships

Membership Duration

An annual OLLI at UNT membership is valid for 365 calendar days from the date of purchase. OLLI at UNT offers three semesters each calendar year: Spring, Summer, & Fall.

Discounted Groups

Individuals who are part of the following groups are eligible for our $85 All Courses Included Annual Membership rate.

Member Benefits
  • Members have access to 350+ courses each year taught by active and retired university faculty and other subject matter experts. Parking is complimentary at all of our classroom locations.
  • Our Debbie & Neal Smatresk OLLI After 5:00 and Lunch & Learn lecture series are complimentary for all OLLI at UNT members.
  • Members may check out books from UNT's Willis Library. Contact olli@unt.edu to request your library card.
  • Members may access our Member Lounge in the UNT Support & Services Building during business hours, with complimentary coffee and access to our Free Member Library, featuring donated books that members are welcome to take home.
  • Members are granted special access and discounts to a number of UNT and local events, including Lewisville Lake Symphony performances.
  • The UNT College of Music generously offers OLLI at UNT members complimentary and discounted tickets to select concerts each semester.
Registration & Enrollment Period
OLLI at UNT memberships can be purchased at any time during the year. Enrollment in each semester's courses and activities opens approximately 1 month before the start of the semester. Once a semester's enrollment opens, members can enroll in activities at any time during the semester, with exceptions for events that have specified registration deadlines.
Special Event Fees
Some of our special events carry a fee that applies to all members. Typically, these fees cover the cost of transportation by chartered bus, entry to museums or other offsite locations, meals, or supplies required for a special activity. We offer complimentary events whenever possible.
Course Fees
For Pay Per Course members, course fees are due in advance of the first course session. These fees do not apply to our lecture series, virtual courses offered on Zoom, or to courses that will be viewed via livestream. Payment can be made online at the time of enrollment. Checks made payable to OLLI at UNT can be mailed to our UNT mailbox (1155 Union Circle #310560, Denton, TX 76203). OLLI staff members can accept credit card payments over the phone. The staff at our satellite classroom locations cannot accept OLLI at UNT payments as they are not university employees.
Pay Per Course Membership Upgrades
Pay Per Course Members can upgrade to another membership level at any time during the year by contacting olli@unt.edu or 940-369-7293. The cost of an upgrade is the difference between the two membership fees, minus any course fees paid prior to upgrading.
Guest Policy
Non-members may attend one in-person course for free as our guest, as long as space is available. Contact olli@unt.edu or 940-369-7293 to enroll in a course as a guest. This policy does not apply to our special events, local trips, SIGs, or lecture series.
